Grief is a gut punch.

Grief sits on our shoulders and crawls into our bones.

The losses that came ten years ago, and have lingered, untended and boxed away. The loss that came last month that doesn’t seem quite real

The losses we had as a kid. The childhood we never got to have because a parent was too broken or too abusive.

The loss of a pet who was our heart. The loss of health that we took for granted. The friendship. The job. The peace that trauma shattered.

Grief sits on our shoulders and crawls into our bones. We need to talk about it.

But we need more than talk.

For over 24 years Edgebrook workshops have created a space for all of those messy emotions that come with grief, whether a wail or a whisper or anything inbetween.

In this 3 day workshop, you’ll find a circle of people who will not judge you for what you’re feeling, whatever you’re feeling.

Even if you don’t know what you’re feeling.

You’ll discover a dozen different ways to express the grief you’ve been carrying and to lay some of it down.

No matter how long you’ve been carrying it.

You’ll discover the ways in which grief affects our lives, and why healing has nothing to do with closure. You’ll learn about safe, healthy boundaries and limits.

You’ll find people who can hear your story, whatever story you need to tell, and will not judge your loss for “not being important enough.”

You won’t have to worry about taking care of anyone else, doing your job, or even fixing dinner. Maybe that sounds wonderful. Maybe that feels scary. No judgment here.

You can take a breath, and take in what you need

“Attending this workshop is the best choice I have ever made for my well being.  This was a life changing and profoundly empowering experience. I am forever grateful to the facilitators and participants who made this everything it was for me.”
